2021 Community Grant Recipients

Twenty-two nonprofit organizations providing support to Shenandoah County residents were selected to receive community grants in 2021. The total amount awarded was $64,918. The recipients included:

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Harrisonburg-Rockingham County
  • Blue Ridge Area Food Bank
  • Blue Ridge Habitat for Humanity
  • Brain Injury Connections of the Shenandoah Valley, Inc.
  • Community Care and Learning Center
  • Enrich Program
  • Family Promise of Shenandoah County
  • Ferst Readers of Shenandoah County
  • Friends of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River
  • Gemeinschaft Home
  • Healthy Families Shenandoah County, Inc.
  • Humane Society of Shenandoah County
  • Izaak Walton League of America
  • Response
  • Shenandoah Alliance for Shelter
  • Shenandoah County Library – Truban Archives
  • Shenandoah County SEARCH, Inc.
  • Shenandoah Education Foundation – Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

The grant recipient of the Endowment for Environmental Conservation Fund was Potomac Riverkeeper Network.
