Woodstock, VA (April 11, 2016) – The Shenandoah Community Foundation announced this year’s community grant recipients today. Since 2008, the Foundation has been able to make significant contributions to local charities thanks to a generous donation by Woodstock Anonymous.
Letters with checks totaling $46,050 have been mailed to 23 local non-profit organizations serving Shenandoah County and its residents.
The organizations which received funding in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 were:

“Our community grants program has had a powerful and positive impact on this community since 2008,” said President Jeff Dalke. “And we are pleased to continue that legacy of giving with our grants this year.”
“We are also fortunate to have so many non-profits serving Shenandoah County,” said Program Coordinator, Jeanne Russell. “This year we were able to give grants to 23 area non-profits but there are many more which are doing good work and could use support. We received 29 applications and wish we could have given to all of them.”
