The Shenandoah Community Foundation has announced its 2024 Community Grants awards. This year, the Foundation awarded $65,600 to 30 non-profit organizations. The grants will support important and innovative programs and activities that reflect the Foundation’s six priority areas: arts and culture, civic affairs, environment, education, health, and family, child, and social welfare.
The annual Gallon of Milk Auction to benefit the 4-H Dairy Scholarship Fund was held August 31, at the Shenandoah County Fair with Woodstock Equipment Company submitting the winning bid.

A $150,000 grant from the Foundation’s Bowman-Shannon Cultural Arts Fund was awarded to Shenandoah County Public Schools (SCPS). It will be used to upgrade and
Shenandoah Community Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant from the Bowman-Shannon Cultural Arts Fund to Community Resources for Wellness and Education (CREW). The funds will be used to help renovate a performing arts center in the former Triplett School in Mount Jackson.
