The Shenandoah Community Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Dennis Dysart as President and Daniel Smith as Vice President of its Board of Directors.
Dysart joined the Community Foundation Board in 2020 and has been an integral part of the Foundation’s leadership for the past two years, serving as Vice President and Chair of the Investment Committee. In addition to his dedicated service to the Foundation, he is the President and Chief Operating Officer of First Bank, bringing extensive financial expertise and a deep commitment to the community he calls home. His strong local roots and proven leadership will guide the Foundation as it continues its mission to strengthen and support the region. “I am honored to serve with an extremely talented Board and Executive Director,” Dysart stated. “This Foundation has made significant contributions to our local community over the past 25 years and we are truly energized about the future, including our ability to connect people with causes that matter.”
Joining him as Vice President is Smith, who has served on the Foundation’s Board since 2023. Smith brings a wealth of experience in security and leadership, offering a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to advancing the Foundation’s goals.
The Foundation also extends its heartfelt gratitude to Jerry Germroth, who served as President for the past two years and has been a dedicated member of the Foundation for fifteen years. His leadership and vision have been instrumental in shaping the Foundation’s success. Germroth will continue his service on the Board, ensuring continuity and ongoing support.
