Punky Riley Memorial Youth Scholarship

Established in memory of Punky Riley, a beloved supporter of county youth athletics, to provide scholarships to children to participate in summer camps provided by the Shenandoah County Department of Parks and Recreation.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Recommendations are made for scholarships by the Shenandoah County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Chairman, Director, or Sports Supervisor based on the following:
  • Children ages 18 and under who wish to participate in a Parks and Recreation activity or program
  • Family receives assistance from the Shenandoah County Department of Social Services
  • Limited to two scholarships per child in one fiscal year (July 1 to June 30)
