The Shenandoah Community Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2026 Community Grants. This year, the Community Foundation has awarded $65,000 to 28 local nonprofit organizations serving Shenandoah County. These grants will support programs, projects, and services that improve quality of life and address important community needs.
Funding for the 2026 Community Grants program was provided through the Foundation’s discretionary grantmaking resources, the generosity of local donors, and support from three component funds: the Endowment for Environmental Conservation, the Martha P. and Frederic J. Hoerr Fund, and the Sharon and Dennis Lilly Unrestricted Fund.
The grants will advance a diverse range of initiatives that reflect the Foundation’s commitment to strengthening the community across six priority areas: Arts and Culture, Civic Affairs, Education, Environment, Health, and Family, Child, and Social Services.
