Adam Goodier died February 20, 2018, when he was only 20 years old and a junior public relations major at Virginia Tech. A 2015 graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Mt. Jackson, Virginia, Adam was captain of the school’s soccer team his senior year.
Most of all, music was interwoven throughout Adam’s life. Adam composed music, played multiple instruments and incorporated music into all of the relationships of his life.
In his memory, this scholarship represents the outpouring of love and respect from friends and family in Adam’s community and beyond. It will be awarded to a graduating Stonewall Jackson High School student, or former graduate, to help further his or her education.
- Amount of the Award in 2019 — $500
- Candidates must have shown a responsible attitude towards academics, preferably with a B average or higher.
- Candidates must have demonstrated a sustained interest in music
- Candidates will submit an essay, in addition to an application, that reveals the applicant’s love of music.
