Shenandoah Community Foundation is proud to announce the addition of two new board members—James “Jamie” Baisden and Daniel Smith.
Foundation President Michael Funk is enthusiastic in welcoming these gentlemen to the Foundation’s governing body, “Jamie and Dan will help the Foundation further its mission by contributing their deep knowledge, expertise, and leadership skills.”
Jamie Baisden is President and CEO of Wind River Chimes, a business he and his wife Patty purchased in 2006 and built into an award-winning manufacturer of artisan-crafted wind chimes that are sold globally. The Baisdens have a strong desire to improve the lives of others through service and philanthropy. Serving in various leadership positions with national, state, and local organizations, Jamie gives generously of his time and resources to make an impact in the communities in which he lives and works. He and Patty have a son and daughter and three delightful grandchildren.
Dan Smith has extensive experience in building and leading large organizations. Dan is currently Principal of MPIE Consulting in New Market, specializing in business process improvements and business development. Dan previously held executive-level positions in multiple organizations. A former senior pilot in the USAF, Dan earned a Bachelor of Science from the United States Air Force Academy with a concentration in engineering and international affairs and a Master’s Degree from Webster University in Procurement and Materials Management. Dan and his wife Julie enjoy living in Shenandoah County, traveling, and spending time with family.
